Health Sharing Report

Health sharing for families

Family math is IUA plus monthly share plus the chance a child’s need is waiting-period limited. Start with guidelines, not a viral savings post.

Health sharing is not insurance. Programs are not legally required to pay medical expenses and do not have to provide Affordable Care Act protections. NAIC consumer guidance.

What to compare

  • Household pricing versus per-unit pricing (CHM-style) can flip which program looks cheaper.
  • Maternity and pediatric rules are often the first place families are surprised.
  • A health share is not a pediatric medical home and not CHIP or Medicaid.

Who should not

  • Families who need guaranteed coverage for a known condition.
  • Households that qualify for Medicaid or CHIP and need those protections.
