How this site makes money

Who owns this site

Health Sharing Report is published by ARYX LLC, a health plan administration software company. ARYX was built by MPB Health's own technology team and ran MPB Health's plan in production before the software was licensed to anyone else. The two are now separate companies under separate management, and MPB Health's present relationship with ARYX is as a licensee of its software. Ownership of the two is not entirely distinct, however: some ownership interest overlaps between them. MPB Health is also the featured partner on this site.

We put that first because it is the larger of the two connections and the one a reader cannot discover on their own. The publisher disclosure covers it in full.

The paid relationship

Separately from ownership, Health Sharing Report has a commercial relationship with MPB Health. When a reader requests a quote through this site and that request goes to MPB Health, we may be compensated. That is the site’s revenue model, and it is the only paid placement on the site — the ownership relationship above is not a purchase and is disclosed on its own terms.

What it buys

• A labeled recommendation in the plan-fit tool where the fit is genuine.
• The quote path on this site.

What neither relationship buys

Neither the commission nor the fact that our publisher is MPB Health’s software vendor gets any of the following:

• A dimension score or a total score.
• A category award.
• A rank position in the editorial ranking.
• Removal or softening of a limitation, exclusion, or waiting period.
• Suppression of a competitor.
• Sight of an article, score, or correction before it publishes.

Where that shows up

Under the current methodology, the top editorial score is CHM at 76, and the featured partner scores 75. We publish that ordering as it stands instead of reordering the list to match the commercial relationship.

Competitor programs hold category awards on this site. Every featured placement is labeled where it appears, not only here.

What we are not

We are not an insurer, a health share, or a licensed insurance agency, and we do not sell memberships. A quote request on this site is a request to be contacted — not an enrollment, and not a binding application. ARYX LLC sells software to health plans and is likewise not a health share or an insurer.
